From local, regional and international framework conventions, youth participation on policy formulation, development and implementation is a fundamental right as young people provide a transitional lineage between the present and future generation. The participation in the design and implementation of development agendas provides a fundamental framework towards achieving sustainability in various sectors of the economy in the country.
Young people in Kenya form a majority of the population. We provide a platform and framework at which young people of Kenya engage exclusively on matters pertaining to sustainable development with focus to Kenya’s Vision 2030, African agenda 2063 and global agenda 2030. The secretariat has a dedicated focal person in various government arms that provide space for young people to engage the government on policies affecting them, participation of young people when government is developing new policies and when the government is reviewing policies.
We have provided sustainable framework for which government, civil society organizations and the private sector engage the youth and vice-vasa that facilitates the involvement of young people from a range of sector and backgrounds on matters affecting the environment and the economy.
